Miki Martin, PT, MBA, COMT
Miki holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a MBA in Healthcare Administration from Bethel University. She is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist in the Maitland Australian Physiotherapy approach.
Prior to accepting the role of Director of the LIFT Wellness Center in 2012, Miki began her healthcare career as a physical therapist in the acute care setting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She began a career in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy in 1996 at Sports Plus North Rehab Center and also served as the Center Coordinator for Clinical Education for all of Sports Plus Rehab locations. Miki accepted the position as Program Manager for Sports Plus North in 2002 and opened Sports Plus Fitness in 2007, serving as the program manager for both locations until assuming the current Director position at LIFT Wellness Center.
Kent Schott, ATC/L, CWT, YCSAS
Kent joined the Sports Medicine program at West Tennessee Healthcare in 2006 and the LIFT Wellness Center team in 2012. In 1994, Kent received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in Health Management, with an emphasis in Sports Medicine, and minors in Athletic Training and Fitness and Exercise Science. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Weight Trainer and Youth Conditioning Specialist Advanced Standing, as well as being certified in Sportmetrics. He has worked with athletes of all calibers, from eight-years-old to collegiate and professional levels. Kent has recently provided Athletic Training services to area schools and athletes and has been the Performance Enhancement Plus Coordinator for Sports Plus since 2006. Kent is eager to help you make this exciting adventure an amazing success.
Syrena was born and raised here in Jackson, TN. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with her Bachelors degree in Communications and Public Relations and has her Masters in Management and Leadership from Western Governor's University . Previously, Syrena worked for the Governor’s Foundation for Health and Wellness where she served as the West TN Director. She is a Jackson’s Finest graduate where she received the Breath of Life award and is an active board member for YouthTown and The Jackson Service League. She is a Chi Omega Alumnus and in her spare time enjoys running, trying a new recipe, and traveling with family and friends.
Andrea graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She majored in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Nutrition and Dietetics. Andrea enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outdoors. She has a passion for helping people live healthier lives!
I started leading group fitness classes at the Milan YMCA in 2012. I fell in love with group ex! I taught a variety of classes there before coming to the LIFT in the Spring of 2015. I currently hold NETA and AFAA Group Exercise Instructor Certifications as well as Barre Above certification. My favorite style of fitness class to instruct is cardio strength classes. There are such amazing benefits of strength training and when you put that together with cardio to get your heart pumping, it makes for an awesome class! I love to provide a workout that is challenging but "do-able" for each participant in the class.
Allison is a Registered Dietitian originally from the suburbs of Chicago. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2015 where she played volleyball for the Skyhawks. She completed her internship at Murray State University and became a Registered Dietitian in 2016. Allison joined the Lift family in January 2020, and enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, and sharing her passion for food.

Blake has a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Union University. His certifications include Certified Personal Trainer, ACE and CPR/AED. His specializations are Performance Enhancement Program and Next Step. Blake's philosopy is "Work hard to be good, work harder to be great, but keep the Lord first."
Julie is an Exercise Specialist who has done a little bit of everything over the years. From youth physical education, to athletic performance development, to 1 on 1 adult personal training, she can help you with your fitness needs and goals. Julie holds a Bachelor's degree in Multi-Age Physical Education from Cedarville University as well as a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. Her personal training and performance enhancement certifications are through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine).
Brad Royer is a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Personal Trainer here at the LIFT Wellness Center. Brad graduated from Union University in 2015 with a BS in Athletic Training. While at Union, Brad was a member of the Union University baseball team. Prior to Union, Brad attended Southern Utah University, where he started his college baseball career. His hobbies include rock climbing, fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoys family vacations with his family, his Wife, Rachel (also works at the lift…. must be a family thing), his children Ella, Emilia and Ezra. Brad is passionate about helping the body achieve its greatest potential through efficiency of movement and functional skills. His medical background helps him focus on how the body is supposed to work, and creates a safe, fun environment for his clients to work and improve safely no matter the limitations.
Zalmico was born in Washington D.C. and played college basketball at Santa Barbara. He also played professional basketball in Central and South America before starting his personal training career in Kentucky. He has a NASM certification and specializes in mobility and resistance training. As a yogi, he loves finding ways to connect with people and grow in a creative balance with life. His favorite quote is, "I am not what I think I am. I am not what you think I am. I am what I think you think I am."
Ashton is from Jackson, TN and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Health and Human Performance, with a concentration in Exercise Science and Wellness. She is a certified Exercise Physiologist through ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine). She is committed to helping her clients reach their goals. Her favorite quote is, "Results happen overtime not overnight- work hard, stay consistent, and be patient."

I graduated from the University of TN, Knoxville where I started teaching group fitness and personal training. I started teaching group fitness classes at the University of TN, Knoxville in 2007 and started training there in 2009. I currently hold certifications in NETA Group Exercise, NASM Personal Training, NASM Weight Loss Specialist, Barre Above, and Piloxing. I have attended multiple fitness conferences all over the country and have held other certifications in cycling and dance. I worked as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor at Lifetime fitness in Collierville, TN. I was the Activities Director and a Group Fitness Instructor for the 3 L.A. Fitness clubs in Nashville, TN. I also taught bootcamp classes and Kickboxing classes at HotBox Fitness in the Gulch in Nashville, TN.
I started working at The Lift the second week it was open. I am a helper by background and education as my first career was a Social Worker then a Psychiatrist Nurse. My nursing career has included psych, home health, and general medical/surgical. My interest in yoga school was to improve my practice. Then, I discovered I could combine my nursing background and yoga teacher training into yoga therapy. In my classes I strive to help others to move their bodies, use the breath, and focus the mind to feel better and move easier through life.

I graduated from UT Martin with a BS in business management. I started teaching fitness in 2011. I teach at Lift because I love the atmosphere. Lift has given me plenty of opportunities to grow & meet a lot of new people
Tosha is married to Adam Cyr and they have one son Tucker and niece Tessa. They reside in Henderson, Tn.
I developed my passion for fitness at the age of 17 and fell in love with bodybuilding. I had always wanted to compete and finally got up the nerve in 2009 to do my first bodybuilding figure competition. I competed until I had my son 2 years later. I worked at Resource Federal Credit Union from 1998-2016 as the Asst. Branch Manager and went part time later in 2016 to be home with my son.
I began personal training in 2001 and teaching group fitness in 2009. I am truly passionate about health and fitness and strive to lead by example.
I enjoy teaching at the Lift because the atmosphere is so uplifting and while I’m there to motivate members; little do they know they are motivating me.

RN, BSN Beverly has taught Aqua Flex and Tone for the past 13 years and has been with LIFT since the facility opened in 2013. She enjoys working with individuals who want to improve their flexibility and strength while minimizing the impact on their joints. She is experienced in working with individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, chronic illnesses as well as those who are attempting to postpone or prepare for joint replacement by strengthening the supportive muscles. When not exercising, she enjoys reading and making/designing quilts.
I began teaching Group Fitness Classes at the Jackson Family YMCA in 1989, after completing the YMCA Fitness Leader Course taught by Marla McCormick. I then continued on in 1993 to become a Fitness Instructor Trainer for YMCA of the USA for the Y’s Fitness Leader Certification. In 1995 YMCA of the USA updated their trainings and I continued as an Instructor/Trainer for the Group Exercise Courses until the Jackson Y closed August of 2015, and at that time I was also teaching a variety of classes.
In 2000, I Certified through the Y in the Active Older Adult Land Exercise Instructor Course, and in 2004 I Certified as a Cardio/Step Instructor and Trainer.
I Certified in ACE Group Exercise 1996-present and ACE Personal Trainer 1998-present. I also have an ACE Working With Older Adults Certification, Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning and Zumba Step.
I love teaching and helping teach others how important it is to continue to stay active through their lifetime.

Keith Davis joined the fitness industry in the early 1990's while residing in Los Angeles, California. With a background in dance, movement and theater, group exercise was a natural extension for his abilities. He excelled in a variety of group ex offerings such as High and Lo Impact Aerobic Dance, Step, Slide, Spinning/Cycling, Stretch and Toning. Currently Keith dedicates his energies to many of those same disciplines, and has included Classical Yoga to his repertoire.
