Aquatics/Pools

Pools

LIFT offers three indoor pools. These include a 25-yard, four-lane lap pool and a therapeutic warm water pool that houses underwater exercise equipment. The pools can be used to help those recovering from an injury, enjoyed by those interested in recreational swimming, and even utilized for triathlete training. The water can be beneficial to everyone, no matter his or her skill level. There is also a large hot tub (spa) for you to sit and relax in after a hard workout.

Family Swim

We love for our members to enjoy the LIFT with their families. We offer specific hours for members to bring their children/grandchildren under 13 years of age to the LIFT to use the warm water pool. Family Swim is for members’ children/grandchildren only. All family members must be signed in at the front desk and must sign the guest waiver. Children and grandchildren of members over the age of 12 must pay a guest fee. The parent/grandparent must directly supervise the child at all times and remain in the same area of the facility as the child. Members who allow their children to roam the facility without supervision may be asked to leave and may lose their Family Swim privileges.

Location: Family Swim is located in the warm water pool. Children are NOT to utilize the lap pool unless they are swimming laps with their parent/grandparent.

Swim Lessons

We are happy to offer swim lessons for all ages, regardless of any former experience. Our instructors work diligently to help you (or your child) meet your swimming goals. Whether you are a beginner learning the basics, a lap swimmer looking to refine your technique, or anywhere in between, we look forward to working with you!

Current LIFT Swim Instructors:

Janet Hedwall

Janet has taught swimming off and on for 40 years, including almost 3 years at LIFT. Her educational background is in mental health. She enjoys teaching children and adults, especially new swimmers who are a bit nervous. Janet is available on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

TJ Hjelte

TJ is an energetic, long distance triathlete with a background in competitive swimming. He is a college student at Union University majoring in Psychology. For beginners, he takes a slow, one-step-at-a-time approach that works well with anyone that is fearful or overwhelmed with the water. For intermediate and advanced swimmers, he has in-depth knowledge on correcting inefficiencies. During the school year, he teaches on Monday and Thursday evenings and on Saturday mornings. He also offers one-time lessons on Thursdays for swimmers who are interested in improving their technique.
